Tematem pracy są ślady obecności madziarskiej poza Kotliną Karpacką na północ (w dorzeczu Wisły i Odry) i wschód od łuku Karpat. Praca ma pomóc odpowiedzieć na pytanie dotyczące charakteru kontaktów między Madziarami i sąsiadującymi ludami. Analiza oparta jest na znaleziskach zebranych w formie katalogu. Łatwo wyróżnić zabytki i elementy obrządku pogrzebowego pochodzenia koczowniczego, w tym madziarskiego, na tle zabytków ludności słowiańskiej. Wiele takich zabytków posiada analogie w Kotlinie Karpackiej. Cześć zebranych zabytków nie może być w sposób pewny kojarzona z kultirą staromadziarską. Migracja przedstawicieli kultury staromadziarskiej była stosunkowo wolna i objęła całe społeczeństwo. Na terenach, przez które przechodzili odkrywane są pochówki przedstawicieli różnych grup wiekowych i obu płci. Największe skupiska stanowisk znajdują się w pobliżu przeszkód terenowych takich jak rzeki i góry.

The topic of the dissertation are traces of Magyar presence outside the Carpathian Basin to the north (in the basin of the Vistula and Odra rivers) and east of the Carpathian mountains. The dissertation is intended to help answer the question about the nature of contacts between the Magyars and neighbouring peoples. The analysis is based on the finds collected in the form of a catalogue. It is easy to distinguish artefacts and elements of the funeral rites of nomadic origin, including Magyar, against the ones of the Slavic population. Many such finds have analogies in the Carpathian Basin. Some of the collected artefacts cannot be associated with the Magyars with certainty. Migration of the representatives of the old Hungarian culture was relatively slow and covered the entire society. Burials of representatives of various age groups and both genders are discovered in the areas they have passed through. The largest concentrations of archaeological sites are located near natural obstacles such as rivers and mountains.
