Management and development of tourism in the Tatra National Park in terms of sustainable development

„Zarządzanie i rozwój turystyki w Tatrzańskim Parku Narodowym w ujęciu zrównoważonego rozwoju” stanowi przedmiot niniejszej pracy magisterskiej. Jej celem było ukazania jakie znaczenie odgrywa koncepcja zrównoważonego rozwoju w procesie zarządzania Tatrzańskim Parkiem Narodowym oraz jaki wpływ na jego obszar ma działalność turystyczna. W pracy zawarto elementy definicji odnoszące się do ogólnej teorii zrównoważonego rozwoju, jak również do idei turystyki zrównoważonej. Przedstawiono rozwój tej koncepcji na tle historycznym oraz jej główne założenia. Opisaną ideę rozpatrywano na przykładzie wspomnianego Parku Narodowego. Chcąc dokładnie poznać specyfikę omawianej instytucji, w pracy przybliżono historię jej powstania, strukturę organizacyjną, a przede wszystkim skupiono się na prowadzonej działalności turystycznej. W części empirycznej pracy zaprezentowano wyniki badań dotyczące realizacji koncepcji zrównoważonego rozwoju w procesie zarządzania w Tatrzańskim Parku Narodowym. Zostały one przedstawione zarówno z perspektywy pracowników jak i turystów Parku. Przeprowadzone badania pokazały, że realizowane zadania w Tatrzańskim Parku Narodowym oraz stosowane praktyki umożliwiają realizowanie zadań zgodnie z zasadami koncepcji zrównoważonego rozwoju, która łączy w sobie trzy wymiary: środowiskowy, ekonomiczny oraz społeczny.

The subject of this thesis is "Management and development of tourism in the Tatra National Park in terms of sustainable development". It is aimed to show the importance of the concept of sustainable development in the management process of the Tatra National Park and the impact of tourist activity on its area. The thesis contains elements of the definition relating to the general theory of sustainable development as well as to the idea of sustainable tourism. The development of this concept was presented against the background of history and its main assumptions. The described idea was considered on the example of the aforementioned National Park. To make it possible to get to know about the specifics of the given institution, the work presents the history of its creation, organizational structure and, above all, focuses on the tourist activity. The empirical part of the work presents the results of research on the implementation of the concept of sustainable development in the management process in the Tatra National Park. They were presented both from the perspective of employees and tourists of the Park. The conducted research has shown that the tasks carried out in the Tatra National Park and the practices applied to enable the implementation of tasks by the principles of the concept of sustainable development, which combines three dimensions: environmental, economic and social.
