Tworzenie i przekład deminutywów w języku polskim i francuskim na przykładzie wiersza Wisławy Szymborskiej pt. „Pierwsza fotografia Hitlera”

Formation and translation of diminutives in Polish and French based on Wisława Szymborska’s poem ”Hitler’s First Photograph”

Deminutywa występują niemal każdym języku. Poza znaczeniem małości, wyrażają stosunek mówiącego do denotowanego przedmiotu. Celem pracy jest wyjaśnienie zjawiska deminutywów w języku polskim i francuskim.Pierwsza część pracy, teoretyczna, przedstawia funkcje deminutywów oraz sposoby ich tworzenia w obu językach. Poruszono również kwestię hipokorystyków oraz deminutywów zleksykalizowanych.Część praktyczna pracy zawiera analizę deminutywów pojawiających się w wierszu Wisławy Szymborskiej pt. „Pierwsza fotografia Hitlera”. Została zbadana częstotliwość występowania, znaczenia oraz typy formacji deminutywów. Analiza przykładów wykazuje, że oba języki różnią się znacznie w kwestii deminutywów, co powoduje trudności w ich przekładzie.

Diminutives are present in nearly every language. In addition to the meaning of smallness, they express the attitude of an interlocutor towards an object that is diminuted. The aim of this study is to explain the phenomenon of diminutives in Polish and in French.The first, theoretical part treats about functions of diminutives and methods of expression in both languages. Furthermore, we approached the question of hypocorisms and lexicalization of diminutifs.The practical part consists of analyse of diminutives that appear in Wisława Szymborska’s poem ‘Hitler’s First Photograph’. The study of the examples has shown that Polish and French differ one from another in terms of diminutives, causing problems in the translation process.

Les diminutifs sont présents dans presque toutes les langues du monde. En plus de la notion de petitesse, ils expriment l’attitude du locuteur envers l’objet dénoté. Le but de ce travail est d’expliquer le phénomène des diminutifs en polonais et en français.La première partie de ce travail, qui se veut théorique, traite des fonctions et des moyens d’expression des diminutifs dans les deux langues. De plus, l’auteure a abordé la question des hypocoristiques et des diminutifs lexicalisés.La partie pratique contient l’analyse des diminutifs présents dans le poème « Première photo » de Wisława Szymborska : leur fréquence, leur sens et les types de formation. L’étude des exemples a montré que le polonais et le français diffèrent considérablement en ce qui concerne les diminutifs ce qui provoque des difficultés dans la traduction.
