Niniejsza praca ma na celu analizę procesu kształtowania się obrazu i tożsamości czeskich Romów w powieści Martina Šmausa "Dziewczynko, roznieć ogieniek". Praca podzielona jest na trzy części. Pierwszy rozdział skupia się na zdefiniowaniu pojęcia tożsamości oraz wyróżnia czynniki wpływające na jej kształtowanie się. Kolejny rozdział skupiony jest na scharakteryzowaniu historii, tradycji i języka mniejszości romskiej w Republice Czeskiej oraz opisaniu wpływu czeskiej kultury na romskie dziedzictwo. Ostatni rozdział ukazuje obraz romskiej mniejszości wyłaniający się z powieści Martina Šmausa "Dziewczynko, roznieć ogieniek" oraz zawiera analizę relacji romsko-czeskich, różnic kulturowych oraz stereotypów opisanych w książce.
The aim of this work is to analyze the image and identity of Czech Roma in the novel "Děvčátko, rozdělej ohníček" by Martin Šmaus. The work is divided into three parts. The first chapter consists the definition of identity and factors that shape it. The next chapter is focused on the history, tradition and language of the Romani people in the Czech Republic and describes the impact of Czech culture on their heritage. The last chapter presents the image of the Romani minority showed in the novel "Děvčátko, rozdělej ohníček" by Martin Šmaus and includes the analysis of relations between Czechs and Romes, cultural differences and stereotypes described in the book.
