Praca pt. "Łacińskie Bizancjum? Obecność łacinników na ziemiach bizantyńskich w latach 1204-1261" traktuje o dziejach i specyfice obecności łacinników nad Bosforem, w postaci utworzonego przezeń w 1204 r. Cesarstwa Łacińskiego. Na początku swojej pracy autor przybliża kontakty między Wschodem a Zachodem w okresie poprzedzającym zasadnicze ramy pracy. Dalsza część jest poświęcona panowaniu rodu Komnenów, którego władanie było kluczowe dla ostatecznego ukształtowania się relacji między Cesarstwem Bizantyńskim a łacinnikami, które to relacje w ostatecznym rozrachunku doprowadziły do czwartej wyprawy krzyżowej. The presence of Latin people in the Byzantine lands in the years 1204-1261" deals with the history and specificity of the presence of Latins on the Bosporus, in the form of the Latin Empire created by themselves in 1204. At the beginning, the author introduces the contacts between the East and the West in the period preceding the framework of his text. The next part is devoted to the reign of the Comnenian family, whose rule was crucial for the final shape of the relationship between the Byzantine Empire and the Latins, which ultimately resulted in the tragedy of the Fourth Crusade. The last chapter presents the fundamental history of the Latin Empire in the years of its existence. In this part of the work, apart from a detailed discussion of political issues, there are sections dealing with internal issues such as economy, religion and the authority of the imperial power.
