Grupa gatunków Platycleis albopunctata (Orthoptera: Tettigonidae) zajmuje obszar od Hiszpanii po okolice Morza Kaspijskiego. W Europie Centralnej grupa ta dzieli się na dwa gatunki P. albopunctata występujący na zachód i na północ od Alp oraz P. grisea na wschód od Alp. W Europie Wschodniej występuje kolejny odróżnialny morfologicznie takson P. albopunctata transiens. Aby odtworzyć pokrewieństwa i przeprowadzić delimitację gatunków w obrębie grupy P. albopunctata zostały wygenerowane drzewa filogenetyczne dla trzech markerów molekularnych H3, ITS i COI oraz porównana morfologia aparatu genitalnego. Chociaż P. grisea wykazuje stałe różnice morfologiczne, analiza molekularna nie wykazała jego odrębności gatunkowej, powinien więc być raczej traktowany jako podgatunek P. albopunctata. Należy jednak wziąć pod uwagę, że udało się zsekwencjonować tylko jednego osobnika P. grisea, przez co wynik analizy musi być traktowany jako wstępny. Analiza molekularna potwierdziła odrębność P. albopunctata transiens od P. intermedia i jego przynależność do grupy P. albopunctata. Ponieważ P. albopunctata transiens różni się od P. albopunctata jak i od P. intermedia cechami morfologicznymi, genetycznymi oraz akustyką powinien być traktowany jako odrębny gatunek. Pośrednie cechy P. albopunctata transiens jak również bliskie pokrewieństwo grupy P. albopunctata z P. intermedia potwierdza zasugerowane wcześniej rozszerzenie tego taksonu do grupy gatunków P. albopunctata – P. intermedia.

Platycleis albopunctata species group (Orthoptera: Tettigonidae) ranges from Spain to the Caspian Sea. In Central Europe it consists of two species, P. albopunctata north and west of the Alps, and P. grisea east of the Alps. In the Eastern Europe, a third morphologically different subspecies P. albopunctata transiens has been described. To reconstruct the phylogeny of Platycleis and delimit the species within the P. albopunctata group phylogenetic trees were constructed based on molecular markers: H3, ITS2 and COI markers and the morphology of the genital apparatus was compared. Even though P. grisea is morphologically different the molecular analysis suggests that it is conspecific with P. albopunctata and should be considered a subspecies. However, it must be taken into consideration that only one individual from only one location was sequenced and, thus the results are preliminary. Molecular analysis confirmed P. albopunctata transiens as a separate member of the P. albopunctata group and not closely related to P. intermedia. Since P. albopunctata transiens differs morphologically, acoustically, and genetically from P. albopunctata as well as from P. intermedia, it might be a different species. The intermediate morphology of P. albopunctata transiens and the phylogenetic relationships also support the hypothesis that the species group should be extended to P. albopunctata – P. intermedia.
