Niniejsza praca podzielona jest na dwa rozdziały. Pierwszy z nich zawiera zagadnienia teoretyczne wprowadzające w problematykę emigracji arabskiej do Chile: tło historyczne oraz ogólny opis schematu twórczości literackiej członków tej społeczności. Ponadto, wymienione zostają liczne organizacje pozarządowe i inicjatywy oddolne z zakresu kultury, nauki i edukacji, które skupiają wokół siebie badaną społeczność. Drugi rozdział jest próbą analizy literackiej powieści "Los turcos" autorstwa Roberta Saráhy, chilijskiego pisarza pochodzenia palestyńskiego. Wybrane fragmenty powieści są cytowane i interpretowane według kluczowych zagadnień, których dotyczą. W ramach zakończenia pracy podaje się wnioski oraz obserwacje końcowe dotyczące problemu.

The present study is divided into two chapters. The first chapter contains some theoretical information about the phenomenon of Arab immigration to Chile, which means historical background and general scheme of literary creation of the described minority. Moreover, various non-governmental organizations and iniciatives are listed to provide information on cultural, educational and scientific activity of the community. The second chapter contains a literary analysys of the novel "Los turcos" by Roberto Saráh, a Chilean author of Palestinian descendancy. Some fragments are quoted and interpreted in the context of key problems concerning condition of the immigrants . The paper closes with conclusions and final observations.

El presente trabajo se divide en dos capítulos. El primer capítulo contiene la base teórica del fenómeno estudiado, es decir, antecedentes históricos de la inmigración árabe en Chile. Se muestra también el esquema general del carácter de la producción literaria de los inmigrantes árabes en dicho país. A continuación, se elaboran varias organizaciones no gubernamentales e iniciativas sociales, culturales, educativas y científicas guiadas por la minoría en cuestión. El segundo capítulo presenta un análisis literario de la novela "Los turcos" de Roberto Saráh, un autor palestino-chileno. Unos fragmentos elegidos se citan e interpretan según problemas clave que abarcan. El estudio termina con conclusiones y observaciones finales.
