The role of sex education in children and adolescents development versus sexualization

Celem niniejszej pracy jest analiza pojęcia edukacji seksualnej oraz jej wpływu na prawidłowy rozwój dzieci i młodzieży. Praca składa się z czterech części, w których wyjaśniono podstawowe pojęcia dotyczące tematu. Następnie przybliżono przebieg rozwoju psychoseksualnego dzieci oraz młodzieży, jak również przedstawiono zjawisko seksualizacji i jego negatywne konsekwencje. Dodatkowo, przeanalizowano pojęcie edukacji seksualnej oraz wskazano jej pozytywny wpływ na prawidłowy rozwój psychoseksualny dzieci. W pracy zastosowano analizę treści i obserwację własną. Do jej napisania wykorzystano literaturę naukową oraz źródła internetowe dotyczące pedagogiki i psychologii. Z przeprowadzonych rozważań wynika, że edukacja seksualna ma kluczowe znaczenie w prawidłowym rozwoju psychoseksualnym dzieci i młodzieży, a także, że jest efektywnym narzędziem do walki ze skutkami seksualizacji młodych ludzi.

The purpose of this work is to analyze the concept of sex education and its impact on the proper development of children and adolescents. The thesis consists of four parts, in which the basic concepts of the subject are explained. Then, the course of psychosexual development of children and adolescents was presented, as well as the phenomenon of sexualization and its negative consequences were presented. Moreover, the concept of sex education was analyzed and its positive impact on the proper psychosexual development of children was indicated. In the work there is content analysis and own observation used. Professional literature and online sources on pedagogy and psychology were used to write it. The conducted considerations show that sex education is of key importance in the proper psychosexual development of children and adolescents, as well as the fact that it is an effective tool to combat the effects of sexualization of young people.
