Cybercrime and cyber espionage as elements of the Sino-US rivalry

Tematem niniejszej pracy jest cyberprzestępczość i cyberszpiegostwo jako elementy rywalizacji chińsko-amerykańskiej. Celem niniejszej pracy jest zbadanie działalności Chin i USA w cyberprzestrzeni i tego, czy mogą być one uznane za skuteczne instrumenty polityki zagranicznej w wymiarze rywalizacyjnym oraz jakie konsekwencje dla całokształtu stosunków międzynarodowych niosą za sobą różnice priorytetów działań w cyberprzestrzeni obu państw.W niniejszej pracy autorka podjęła się zbadania rosnącej roli cyberprzestrzeni w stosunkach amerykańsko-chińskich w tym m. in. tego, co sprawia, że uczestnicy stosunków międzynarodowych odnoszą korzyści z potencjału sieci teleinformatycznych oraz jakie są tego konsekwencje. Zdaniem autorki ważna jest odpowiedź na pytanie co sprawia, że cyberprzestrzeń przekształca się w nową sferę rywalizacji państw.

The subject of this work is cybercrime and cyber espionage as elements of Chinese-American rivalry. The purpose of this study is to analyze the activities of China and the US in cyberspace and whether they can be considered effective foreign policy instruments in a competitive dimension and what consequences for the overall international relations have the differences in the priorities of activities in cyberspace of both countries. In this work, the author study the growing role of cyberspace in American-Chinese relations, including what makes the participants of international relations benefit from the potential of ICT networks and what are the consequences. According to the author, it is important to answer the question what makes cyberspace transforms into a new sphere of competition between states.
