Imaging diagnostics of elbow joint injury - case study of a 54-year-old man

Celem pracy było ustalenie optymalnego modelu postępowania w urazach stawu łokciowego. W pierwszej części pracy zawarte zostały informacje o budowie stawu łokciowego, rodzajach jego złamań i ich epidemiologii. Następna część pracy opisuje metody obrazowania, których używa się w diagnostyce urazów stawu łokciowego. Praca stanowi studium przypadku i opiera się na przykładzie historii 54-letniego pacjenta po złamaniu wyrostka łokciowego łokcia lewego. Ostatni etap pracy opisuje podsumowanie i wyłonienie wniosków. Bazując na przykładzie przedstawionego pacjenta stwierdzono, że istotnym dla niego jest przeprowadzenie wczesnej, kompleksowej i poprawnej diagnostyki, która pozwoli na prawidłowy wybór leczenia i usprawnianie chorego.

The purpose of the essay was to determine the optimal model of management in injuries of the elbow joint. The first part of the essay contains informations about the structures of the elbow joint, the types of its fractures and their epidemiology. The next part of the essay describes the imaging methods that are used in the diagnosis of elbow joint injuries.The essay is a case study and is based on an example of the medical history of a 54-year-old patient diagnosed with fracture of the elbow appendix of the left elbow.The last stage of the essay describes the summary and selection of conclusions.Based on the example of the presented patient, it was found that it is important for him to carry out an early, comprehensive and correct diagnosis, which will allow the correct choice of treatment and improvements of the patient.
