The influence of work environment on the level of burnout at midwives

Problem badawczy w mojej pracy magisterskiej dotyczył m. in. wpływu środowiska pracy na poziom wypalenia zawodowego. W badaniu uczestniczyła grupa sześćdziesięciu położnych. Do badań wykorzystałam następujące trzy kwestionariusze: MBI (Maslach Burnout Inventory) opracowany przez Christinę Maslach, kwestionariusz AWLS, czyli Areas of Worklife Survey autorstwa Michaela P. Leitera oraz Christiny Maslach i kwestionariusz UWES - The Utrecht Work Engagement Scale, którego autorami są Wilmar Schaufeli oraz Arnold Bakker. Z przeprowadzonych badań wynika, że blisko połowa badanych jest wypalona zawodowo. Ponadto, środowisko pracy ma duży wpływ na występowanie wypalenia zawodowego oraz zaangażowanie położnych.

The research problem in my master thesis concerned among the impact of the work environment on the level of burnout syndrome. A group of sixty midwives were participated in this study. I used the following three questionnaires for this research: Maslach Burnout Inventory, whose author is Christina Maslach, Areas of Worklife Survey questionnaire, whose authors are Michael P. Leiter and Christina Maslach and The Utrecht Work Engagement Scale questionnaire, whose authors are Wilmar Schaufeli and Arnold Bakker. The research shows that almost half of the respondents are burned out. In addition, the work environment has a large impact on burnout syndrom and the involvement of midwives.
