Praca stanowi wersję XIX-wiecznej powieści fantastycznej pt. "Dusza w nie swoim ciele" - autorstwa polsko-białoruskiego pisarza doby Romantyzmu, Jana Barszczewskiego - poddaną edycji pod kątem odbioru przez współczesnego czytelnika. Powieść opatrzona jest przypisami oraz wstępem, rozważającym zagadnienia teoretyczne związane z fantastyką jako gatunkiem oraz postać Barszczewskiego jako pisarza wraz z jego inspiracjami i dorobkiem literackim, a także pokrótce analizującym występujące w powieści motywy.
Thesis consist of the version of 19th century fantasy novel, titled "The soul in not his body" - authored by polish-belarussian writer of the era of Romanticism, Jan Barszczewski - edited to accommodate to modern reader. The novel is provided with footnotes and foreword, reflecting on the theoretical issues with regard to fantasy as a genre and character of Barszczewski as a writer, as well as briefly analyzing the motives appearing in the novel.
