Praca powstała jako rezultat badań nad grupą graczy komputerowych w społeczeństwie polskim. Opisuje środowisko graczy, od poglądów społeczeństwa, przez media i popkulturę, aż po to, co oni sami o sobie sądzą. Nawiązując do definicji subkultury: cechami członków danej subkultury jest wspólny język, wspólne obyczaje, wspólne wartości, stereotypy, przesądy. W podrozdziałach pracy bardzo wyraźnie jest zaakcentowane, że tą grupę społeczną można nazwać właśnie subkulturą.

The thesis was created as a result of research on a group of gamers in Polish society. It describes the players' environment, from the views of society, through the media and pop culture, to what they think about themselves. Referring to the definition of a subculture: the characteristics of members of a given subculture is a common language, common customs, common values, stereotypes, superstitions. In the sub-sections of the work it is very clearly highlighted that this social group can be called a subculture.
