Impact of the global financial crisis on the investment and pension funds market in Germany

Niniejsza praca przedstawia teoretyczne oraz empiryczne aspekty wpływu kryzysu finansowego lat 2008/2009 na fundusze inwestycyjne i emerytalne Niemiec. W zakresie teoretycznym dokonano przeglądu literatury pod względem definicji kryzysu finansowego oraz jego rodzajów. Przedstawione zostały teoretyczne aspekty funduszy inwestycyjnych oraz emerytalnych. W dalszej części pracy scharakteryzowano niemieckie fundusze inwestycyjne oraz emerytalne, ich rodzaje, strukturę i podział. W pracy opisano również uwarunkowania prawne związane funkcjonowaniem funduszy inwestycyjnych i emerytalnych w Niemczech. W zakresie empirycznym praca opisuje rzeczywiste skutki globalnego kryzysu finansowego, które wpłynęły na niemiecki rynek funduszy inwestycyjnych i emerytalnych.

This paper presents theoretical and empirical aspects of the impact of the financial crisis of 2008/2009 on German investment and pension funds. In the theoretical scope, the literature was reviewed in terms of the definition of the financial crisis and its types. The theoretical aspects of investment and pension funds are presented. In the further part of the work, German investment and pension funds, their types, structure and division were characterized. The work also describes the legal conditions related to the functioning of investment and pension funds in Germany. In empirical terms, the work describes the real effects of the global financial crisis, which affected the German investment and pension funds market.
