Determinants of eating disorders during adolescence

Celem pracy jest analiza specyfiki zaburzeń odżywiania w okresie adolescencji ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem etiologii i czynników warunkujących to zaburzenie. Praca przedstawia aktualną wiedzę na temat uwarunkowania zaburzeń odżywiania. Autorka dokonuje przeglądu etiologii oraz wpływ poszczególnych czynników warunkujących powstawanie zaburzenia w odżywianiu. Przedstawia charakterystykę okresu dojrzewania, jego przebieg oraz czynniki ryzyka. Dokonuje analizy poszczególnych typów zaburzeń odżywiania tj. anoreksji i bulimii w kontekście przebiegu choroby, wpływu na funkcjonowanie człowieka oraz objaśnienie podstawowych definicji. Przedstawione zostają różnice i podobieństwa pomiędzy poszczególnymi typami zaburzenia.

The aim of the thesis is to analyze the specificity of eating disorders during adolescence, with particular emphasis on the etiology and factors conditioning this disorder. The thesis presents current knowledge on the determinants of eating disorders. The author reviews etiology and the influence of individual factors that condition the emergence of eating disorders. She presents the characteristics of the adolescence period, it’s course and risk factors. She analyzes particular types of eating disorders, such as anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa in the context of the course of the disease, its impact on the way of living of ill people and the explanation of basic definitions. Differences and similarities between particular types of disorders are also presented.
