Agritourism as an opportunity to develop rural areas. The case of Dąbrowa district.

Agroturystyka jest gałęzią turystyki alternatywnej, której popularność wzrasta z roku na rok. Coraz więcej osób w dzisiejszych czasach wybiera odpoczynek na peryferiach, w spokojnej okolicy i w bliskości z naturalnym środowiskiem. Celem niniejszej pracy jest zbadanie wpływu agroturystyki na rozwój terenów wiejskich. Ruch turystyczny jest ważnym czynnikiem wpływającym na rozwój danego terenu. Obszary wiejskie mają do zaoferowania wiele ciekawych atrakcji, co może być wykorzystane w celu rozwoju agroturystyki. Taka forma wypoczynku ma wiele zalet zarówno z punktu widzenia odwiedzających, jak i lokalnej społeczności. Teren wybrany do przeprowadzenia badań posiada wiele cech korzystnie wpływających na rozwój usług agroturystycznych. Przeprowadzono badanie w formie wywiadu z właścicielami gospodarstw agroturystycznych w celu poznania obecnego stanu i perspektyw rozwoju agroturystyki w powiecie dąbrowskim oraz zbadania jaki ma ona wpływ na rozwój regionu. Wnioski z przeprowadzonych badań, jak i całej pracy wskazują na wpływ agroturystyki na rozwoj terenów wiejskich. Generowane przez turystykę dochody przyczyniają się do powstawania nowych inwestycji oraz promocji danego regionu. Wyniki badań wskazują, iż agroturystyka na terenie powiatu dąbrowskiego ma szanse na rozwój, jeśli podjęte zostaną odpowiednie inwestycje ze strony władz lokalnych, jak i oferujących usługi agroturystyczne.

Agritourism is a branch of alternative tourism, the popularity of which is constantly increasing. Instead of visiting the most common destinations, many tourists nowadays choose resting in peaceful villages, away from hustle and bustle of big cities. The aim of this thesis is to look into the influence of agritourism on the development of rural areas. Undoubtedly, tourist traffic is a very important factor that influences the development of a given area. Rural areas can offer many interesting attractions, which can be used to develop agritourism. The area selected for study has many features that have a positive impact on the development of agrtourism services. The study has a form of an interview with the owners of agritourism farms. The purpose of this study was to get to know the current state of agritourism in Dąbrowa district as well as its prospects for the development and to examine how it affects the development of the region. Conclusions from both the study and the entire work clearly indicate the impact of agritourism on the development of rural areas. The income made by tourism contributes to new investments and promotion of a the region. The study results indicate that agritourism in Dąbrowa district has a great opportunity of development if appropriate investments are made by local authorities as well as the owners of agritourism farms.
