Grotesque as an intermedia aesthetic category in Polish studies (high school, technical school).

Celem rozprawy jest prezentacja autorskiej wizji funkcjonowania zjawiska groteski w przestrzeni edukacyjnej. Pracę rozpoczyna przegląd ujęć teoretycznych wspomnianej kategorii estetycznej na przestrzeni ostatnich dekad. Dalsza część rozprawy zawiera analizę treści dla szkół ponadgimnazjalnych w kontekście obecności treści związanych z groteską i sposobu ich prezentacji. W pracy omówiono również stan wiedzy uczniów liceum, technikum oraz szkoły zawodowej na temat groteski, który ujawniają wyniki badań ankietowych. Ostatnia część rozprawy zawiera dydaktyczne propozycje omówienia zjawiska groteski na lekcjach języka polskiego. W pracy zaprezentowano groteskę jako zjawisko ponadliterackie, interkulturowe i indywidualne dla każdego konkretnego dzieła. Omawiana kategoria estetyczna została omówiona poprzez teksty kultury bliższe zainteresowaniom uczniów – głównie współczesne. Takie wstępne rozpoznanie – w wizji autorki – ma być pogłębiane i poszerzane w kontakcie z innymi utworami. Całość rozważań na ma celu zaprezentowanie groteski jako zjawiska przyswajalnego, pożytecznego oraz aktualnego – co odbiega od współczesnego, mocno ograniczonego pojmowania tej kategorii estetycznej przez uczniów.

The aim of this work was to present the phenomenon of the grotesque in the educational space. Studies on this aesthetic category have been analyzed to a particular extent over the years and in the approaches of various experts of the aesthetic category. Further this dissertation illustrates which textbooks for high school students present grotesque content and to what extent this category is discussed. At the same time, the work presents the level of knowledge of high school, technical and vocational school students about the grotesque, which a research questionnaire presents . It shows what causes affect students' awareness and its consequences. The last part of the text includes didactic suggestions that teachers can use in their work. The dissertation is to present the grotesque as an intercultural phenomenon, individual for each author of the work. The described aesthetic category is discussed by cultural texts closer to students' interests - mainly contemporary ones. Then, the acquired information is transferred to other works. The whole part of the deliberations is to present the grotesque as an accessible, useful and actual phenomenon - which deviates from the contemporary understanding of this aesthetic category among students.
