The role of departmental sports clubs in the system of People's Poland in 1945-1956

Tematem mojej pracy jest ukazanie roli resortowych klubów sportowych w systemie komunistycznym na przykładzie Polski Ludowej w latach 1945- 1956. Składa się ona z czterech rozdziałów. Rozdział pierwszy ma charakter wprowadzający do tematu. Jego celem jest pokazanie tła wydarzeń, które są rzeczywistym tematem pracy. Dlatego znajdują się tam opisy: problemów przed jakimi stanął sport w Polsce po zakończeniu II wojny światowej, procesu przejmowania władzy nad sportem przez komunistów oraz zmian, które zaszły w polskim sporcie gdy był on już w pełni w rękach partii. W rozdziale drugim zawarłem informacje na temat powstawania klubów wojskowych po wojnie oraz sposobach przejęcia nad nimi władzy przez komunistów. Znajdują się w nim również sylwetki osób, które możemy nazwać nomenklaturą w klubach sportowych, oraz przykłady tego jaką władzą dysponowali ci ludzie. Ostatnim zagadnieniem poruszanym w rozdziale jest kwestia przywilejów jakie posiadały kluby wojskowe z racji swojej pozycji w systemie. Mianowicie chodzi tutaj o temat sportowej rywalizacji międzynarodowej oraz kwestię pozyskiwanie najlepszych zawodników do klubu. W rozdziale znajdziemy też informacje na temat tego w jaki sposób kluby musiały odpłacać się władzy za te przywileje.Rozdział trzeci dotyczy klubów zarządzanych przez organy bezpieczeństwa Polski Ludowej. Znalazły się w nim informacja na temat tworzenia klubów milicyjnych po II wojnie światowej, nieudanej próbie przejęcia kontroli nad "Polonią Warszawa" przez milicje oraz kulis dołączenia "Wisły" do struktur gwardyjskich. Po za tym są tam też informacje o ludziach, którzy zarządzali milicyjnymi klubami sportowymi oraz o przywilejach klubów wynikających z opieki organów bezpieczeństwa.W ostatnim rozdziale są informacje o roli resortowych klubów sportowych w obchodach świąt komunistycznych,oraz w polityce międzynarodowej i lokalnej. Znajduję się też tam opis cech, które powinien posiadać sportowiec uznany za komunistycznego "herosa".

The topic of my essay is show the role of departmental sports clubs in the communist system on the example of People's Poland in 1945-1956. It consists of four chapters. The first chapter is introductory to the topic. Its purpose is to show the background of events that are the actual topic of work. There are descriptions there: problems of Polish sport after World War II, the process of taking over the sport by the communists and the changes that took place in Polish sport when the power was in the hands of the communist party.In chapter two, I have included information on the emergence of military sports clubs after the war and the ways in which communists took power over them. There are also profile of people that we can call nomenclature in sports clubs. The last problem discussed in the chapter is the issue of privileges that military clubs have due to their position in the system. Namely, it is about the subject of international sporting competition and transfer of the best players to the club. In the chapter is also information about how the clubs had to pay for the privileges.Third chapter concern clubs managed by security organs of People’s Poland. It contained information about the creation of militia clubs after the Second World War, the unsuccessful attempt to take control of the “Polonia Warszawa” by the militia, and the scene take over in “Wisła” by security organs. There are also information about the people who managed these sports clubs and the privileges of the clubs resulting from care of the security authorities. The chapter provides information on the role of military and militia sporting clubs in celebrating communism holidays and in international and local politics. There is also a description of the features of an athlete regarded as a communist “hero”.
