Problems of protection and sharing the heritage of the salt towns - Bochnia example.

Niniejsza praca ma na calu przybliżenie zagadnień związanych z problematyką ochrony i udostępniania dziedzictwa miasta salinarnych. W celu lepszego zobrazowania tematu, problem został omówiony na przykładzie miasta Bochni – obszaru z długowieczną tradycją wydobycia tego surowca. Rozważania rozpoczęto od przedstawienia historii rozwoju górnictwa solnego na terenie Polski oraz kształtowania się prestiżu społeczeństwa górniczego. Następnie dokonano rozpoznania i klasyfikacji elementów dziedzictwa miast salinarnych, przedstawiono problemy związane z ich ochroną i udostępnianiem. Nawiązano również do współczesnych perspektyw i możliwości wykorzystania dziedzictwa salinarnego, skupiając się głównie na tym z terenów Bochni.

The thesis points out the problems of protection and sharing the heritage of the salt towns. In order to show the problem thoroughly the Bochnia city has been chosen as an example. This city is a region with long tradition of salt extraction. In the beginning the thesis discusses the history of the development of salt mining in Poland and the formation of the prestige of the mining society. Subsequently it identify and classify the elements of the salinar heritage and also points out the problems related to protection and adaptations of those. Thesis refers also to present perspectives and possibilities of using this heritage.
