Praca magisterska poświęcona jest specyficznej i niezwykle ciekawej autobiografii Josepha Conrada pod tytułem "Notatnik osobisty" ("Ze wspomnień"). W pierwszych częściach pracy autorka śledzi recepcję tłumaczonych dzieł Conrada w Polsce i Rosji, a także definiuje conradowskie pojęcie Wierności. W dalszej części prezentuje różne podejścia badaczy do tematu autobiografii. W głównej mierze autorka skupia się jadnak na analizie "Notatnika osobistego" jako nowoczesnej autobiografii. Odwołuje się przy tym do publikacji Małgorzaty Czermńskiej.
The master's thesis is devoted to a very specific and interesting example of autobiography - "A Personal Record" ("Some Reminiscences") by Joseph Conrad. At the beginning author investigates the reader's reception of translated literary texts in Poland and Russia and defines idea od "Fidelity". Afterwords she presents theory of autobiography. The main aim of the thesis is to analize "A Personal Note" as modern autobiography with special reference to Małgorzata Czermińska's publication.
