W niniejszej pracy został poruszony problem cierpienia dziecięcego, który omówiono szerzej na podstawie wybranych utworów literatury i diarystyki Holokaustu. Cierpienie jest niezwykle ważnym zagadnieniem filozoficznym, a pytania dotyczące jego przyczyn oraz sensu zadawano na przestrzeni lat wielokrotnie. Nie dziwi zatem fakt, że wyzwanie, jakim bez wątpienia jest dla wielu myślicieli Holokaust, sprowokowało do ponownego przyjrzenia się owej kwestii. Myśliciele niejednokrotnie pochylali się nad problemem teodycei w związku z tragedią Zagłady. Cierpienie jest zawsze trudne do przyjęcia, zwłaszcza w wypadku dzieci. Zauważył to także w swoim czasie Fiodor Dostojewski, dla którego pogodzenie wizji dobrego, chrześcijańskiego Boga z zaczerpniętymi z życia autentycznymi przykładami nieludzkiego cierpienia dzieci, stało się wyzwaniem, a świadectwo tych zmagań pozostawił na kartach Braci Karamazow. Literatura Holokaustu również obfituje w opisy cierpień najmłodszych. Celem pracy było m.in. przedstawienie głównych tematów, problemów i najczęstszych motywów związanych z cierpieniem dziecięcym jakie odnaleźć można na kartach wspomnień czy diariuszy czasu Holokaustu. Przyjrzano się cechom dziecięcego języka, przede wszystkim prostocie, szczerości i skupieniu się na opisie wydarzeń, a także powodom, dla których niejednokrotnie dorośli już twórcy, spisując swoje wspomnienia, decydowali się na kreację dziecięcą. Poruszony został problem przeplatania się autentyczności i fikcji we wspomnieniach spisywanych po latach oraz wewnętrzny nakaz składania świadectwa, towarzyszący tworzeniu zapisków. Dokładniejszej analizie poddano trzy prace: Żydowską wojnę Henryka Grynberga jako przykład literatury wspomnieniowej, oraz dzienniki Rutki Laskier i Dawida Rubinowicza, które są przykładami tekstów spisywanych w trakcie Zagłady. W każdej z tych prac widać dramat dzieci, którym los odebrał szansę na normalne dzieciństwo, pozostawiając w zamian konieczność walki o przetrwanie i przedwczesną dojrzałość.

In my thesis, I agiteted the topic of children's suffering based on desribtions in some of the selected literary works. Suffering is an extremely important philosophical subject and for many centuries people asked themselves questions about it for example, what is a cause of suffering or can we find any sense in it? Therefore it's obvious that the tragedy of Holocaust made many thinkers to look back at that topic.Philosophers repeatedly tried to understand the problem of theodicy regarding to the Holocaust. Pain and suffering is always hard to accept especially when the subject of it are children. Fyodor Dostoyevsky was one of the people who noticed the contrast between the idea of good merciful God and taken from real life examples of inhuman suffering of children. This problem became a great challenge for him that he tried to deal with in one of his works The Brothers Karamazov. The literary of Holocaust also shows us many examples of children's suffering. Main goal of this thesis was showing the most important topics, problems and commonly used motives associated with suffering of children that can be found in memories or diaries from The World War II and Holocaust. Analyzed the pattern of child's language, with its simplicity, honesty and focusing on true describtions of the events. I also decided to show some of the motives why some of the adult authors decided to write their books from child's perspective. I wrote about the problem of authenticity and fiction in memories written years after the events took place and what was the reason why peope decided to go back to those painful memories. 3 books were deeply analyzed: The Jewish War by Henryk Grynberg as an example of reference literature and logs and diaries of Rutka Laskier and Dawid Rubinowicz which are the examples of literature written during the Holocaust. In every one of those works we can see the tragedy of children whose chances for normal childhood were taken from them. What was left was fight for survival and too early maturity.
