Women's representation analyze in the parliaments of the European Union's member states

Celem pracy było analiza reprezentacji kobiet w parlamentach narodowych państw członkowskich oraz zidentyfikowanie czynników wpływających na ich udział w tych strukturach politycznych. Praca jest podzielona na 3 rozdziały. W pierwszym rozdziale opisano historię polityczną kobiet. W drugim rozdziale autor wyjaśnił, dlaczego kobiety muszą być w polityce i jakie istnieją bezpośrednie i pośrednie mechanizmy państwowe, które powinny ich ilość zwiększyć oraz postawił 6 hipotez, które mogą wyjaśnić liczbę kobiet w parlamentach narodowych. W rozdziale trzecim dokonano weryfikacji hipotez za pomocą dwóch metod: zwykłej statystyki opisowej oraz testu statystycznego w ramach regresji liniowej wielorakiej.

The aim was analysis of women's representation in the European Union's member states' parliaments and identification of factors influencing their participation in these structures. Thesis was divided into 3 chapters. In the first chapter author has described the women's political history. In the second chapter, author explained the importance of women being in politics as well as direct and indirect mechanisms, which should function in the country to increase the women's representation. Also, author has created 6 hypothesis which must give us an explanation on women's number in parliaments. In the third chapter, author verified those hypothesis with the help of two methods: ordinary descriptive statistics and statistical test in multiple linear regression.
