The impact of noise on the environment of the city of Cracow and the ways to prevent on the example of acoustic screens

Celem pracy jest przedstawienie oddziaływania hałasu na środowisko miasta Krakowa oraz zaprezentowanie sposobów przeciwdziałania temu zjawisku na przykładzie ekranów akustycznych. Ukazano problem hałasu w mieście, jego źródła i przestrzenne zróżnicowanie. Szczegółowo skupiono się na analizie ekranów przy ul. Grota-Roweckiego, graniczącej z Instytutem Geografii i Gospodarki Przestrzennej UJ. Wykonano badania ankietowe wśród mieszkańców tej ulicy, a także pracowników i studentów Instytutu. Dotyczyły one głównie zadowolenia ankietowanych z działania, ekranów, utrudnień z nimi związanych oraz ich estetyką. W opinii respondentów ekrany akustyczne rzeczywiście ograniczają dopływ dźwięku do odbiorców, jednak największym problemem jest ich estetyka oraz konstrukcja zasłaniająca krajobraz. Dodatkowo w pracy przedstawiono wpływ hałasu na zdrowie człowieka.

The aim of the study is to present the impact of noise on the environment of the city of Krakow and to present ways of combating this phenomenon on the example of acoustic screens. It shows the problem of noise in the city, its source and spatial differentiation. Specifically focused on the analysis screens Street. Grota-Roweckiego, bordering with the Institute of Geography and Spatial Management. We made a survey among the residents of this street, as well as staff and students of the Institute. They focused on the satisfaction of respondents from the action, screens, difficulties associated with them and their aesthetics. In the opinion of respondents acoustic screens actually restrict the flow of sound to audiences, but the biggest problem is their aesthetics and design hiding the landscape. In addition, the paper presents the impact of noise on human health.
