Praca zaczyna się krótkim wstępem, w którym dowodzone jest, że odwzorowanie shiftu jest chaotyczne w sensie Devaney'a. Następnie opisana jest konstrukcja zwana podkową Smale'a. Zostaje pokazane, że istnieje sprzężenie topologiczne restrykcji podkowy Smale'a do pewnego zbioru niezmienniczego z shiftem. The paper starts with basic definitions including definition of the shift map. It is shown that shift is chaotic in the sense of Devaney. Afterwards, a Smale horseshoe is examined and the existence of topological conjugation between the Smale horseshoe on some invariant set and the shift map is proven. Finally, a generalization of the Smale horseshoe appears together with the concept of the crossing number, as well as an example of the family of maps for which their crossing numbers are arbitrarily high.
