W pracy ujęto problematykę urazów elektrycznych oraz postępowania ratowniczego na miejscu zdarzenia. Zdarzenia te nie należą do najczęstszych, jednak niosą ze sobą poważne skutki dla zdrowia i życia poszkodowanych. Praca została podzielona na trzy części. Pierwsza z nich przedstawia informacje na temat porażenia piorunem, czyli prądem stałym. W rozdziale tym uwzględniono również zasady bezpieczeństwa jakie należy zastosować w wypadku znalezienia się na otwartej przestrzeni podczas burzy. Druga część dotyczy porażenia prądem zmiennym, epidemiologii, mechanizmu urazu oraz specyfikacji obrażeń. Omówiony został schemat badania urazowego wg International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) dostosowany do sytuacji porażenia prądem elektrycznym. Natomiast trzecia, ostatnia partycja jest próbą zebrania informacji i usystematyzowania postępowania ratowników medycznych na miejscu zdarzenia.

The work included the issues of electrical injuries and rescue proceeding at the scene. These events are not common, but have serious consequences for the life and health of victims. The work was divided into three parts. The first provides information on the electrical alternating current, epidemiology, mechanism of injury and damage to the specifications. The second part speaks about lightning strike, or DC. This chapter also includes safety rules to be applied in the event of finding themselves in the open during a thunderstorm. While the third, the last partition is an attempt to gather information and systematize the paramedics proceedings at the scene. Scheme has been described by the study of International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) adapted to the situation of electric shock.
