W pierwszej części pracy autor zamieścił opis rozwoju ruchu narodowego ukraińców, który ostatecznie rozwinął się w pełnoprawną ideologię zwaną nacjonalizm ukraiński. Część ta, przerdstawia etapy budowania się świadomości narodowej Ukraińców, doktrynę na której później opierała się działalność OUN i UPA oraz założenia polityczne wykreowane w trakcie I Kongresu OUN z 1929 r.Druga część pracy dotyczy rozwoju Ukraińskiej Organizacji Wojskowej, którą ostatecznie przeformowano w OUN, oraz rozłamu który doprowadził do dwóch niezależnych frakcji OUN-b (Bandery) i OUN-m (Melnyka). Na końcu tej części autor opisał sposób działania UPA, oraz okoliczności które doprowadziły do powstania podziemnej armii.Trzecia część pracy dotyczy powiatu Sanockiego, autor na początku części zamieścił opis band UPA grasujących w powiecie sanockim, podział Polski stworzony przez UPA celem koordynacji działań, oraz przedstawił relacje naocznych świadków ataków na wsie w tym powiecie. Na końcu zamieścił kalendarium ataków na wsie w powiecie sanockim.

In the first part, the author published a description of the development of Ukrainian national movement, which eventually developed into a full-fledged ideology called Ukrainian nationalism. This section presents the stages of building a national consciousness of Ukrainians, the doctrine on which the activities of OUN and the UPA were based and political guidelines established during the First Congress of OUN 1929.The second part of the work concerns the development of the Ukrainian Military Organization, which was finally reformed in the OUN, and the rift that led to create two separate factions of the OUN: OUN-b (Bandera) and the OUN-M (Melnyk). At the end of this section the author described the mode of action of the UPA, and the circumstances that led to the creation of underground army.The third part of this work concerns the district of Sanok, the author in the early part of the published description of the UPA band of marauding in the district of Sanok, Polish division created by the UPA in order to coordinate activities, and presented eyewitness accounts of attacks on villages in this district. At the end, author wrote the calendar of attacks on villages in the district of Sanok.
