StreszczenieWstęp: Choroba Leśniowskiego-Crohna jest przewlekłym nieswoistym procesemzapalnym obejmującym przewód pokarmowy. Etiopatogeneza choroby jest niewyjaśniona.Typowymi objawami choroby są: biegunki, nudności i wymioty, gorączka, bóle brzucha,osłabienie oraz utrata masy ciała. W celu rozpoznania choroby wykonuje się licznebadania, m.in: endoskopie z pobraniem wycinków, metody radiologiczne z użyciemkontrastu oraz badania laboratoryjne. W leczeniu choroby stosowanymi lekami pierwszegorzutu są leki przeciwzapalne. W dalszej kolejności leki immunosupresyjne orazbiologiczne. Pacjenci z chorobą Leśniowskiego zmagają się z licznymi problemamizdrowotnymi, utrudniającymi normalne funkcjonowanie. Wymagają pomocy wzapewnieniu potrzeb biologicznych. W związku z występowaniem licznych biegunek iwymiotów należy monitorować stan pacjenta w celu wczesnego wykrycia objawówodwodnienia. Pacjent powinien systematycznie wykonywać pomiar CTK i glikemii w celuzapobiegania rozwojowi powikłań w wyniku stosowania glikokortykosteroidów.Cel pracy: Celem mojej pracy było omówienie problemów zdrowotnych pacjenta zchorobą Leśniowskiego-Crohna.Materiał i metody: Przedstawiona praca ma charakter teoretyczny. W pracywykorzystałam metodę analizy dokumentów. Podczas gromadzenia danych zastosowałamanalizę piśmiennictwa jako technikę badawczą.Wnioski: Istotną rolę w procesie leczenia odgrywa profilaktyka powikłań choroby,odpowiednia pielęgnacja ciała, poprawa samopoczucia chorych i podwyższenie ichsamooceny.

SummaryIntroduction: Crohn’s disease is a chronic nonspecific inflammatory disease of thegastrointestinal tract. Its ethiopathogenesis has not been explained. Typical symptomsinclude diarrhoea, nausea, emesis, fever, abdominal pain, debility and weight loss. Thediagnosis of Crohn’s disease includes a combination of modalities, e.g. endoscopicexamination with biopsy, radiologic examination using contrast media as well as laboratorytests. Anti-inflammatory drugs are often used as first-line treatment for patients withCrohn’s disease. Further treatment involves immunosuppressive and biological therapy.Patients with Crohn’s disease deal with numerous medical problems which impede theirnormal functioning. Constant help concerning their biological needs is essential. Due tofrequent occurrences of diarrhoeas and vomiting the condition of patients must bemonitored so that early symptoms of dehydration can be diagnosed. In order to avoid therisk of developing complications which result from glucocorticoid use, blood pressure andglucose level must be tested systematically.Purpose of the study: The aim of this thesis was to investigate health problems ofpatients suffering from Crohn’s disease.Methods and materials: The thesis has mainly theoretical character and its primaryresearch method is document analysis. Relevant data has been collected using the methodof literature review.Conclusions: Prevention of disease complications, proper body care as well asboosting patients’ well-being and self-esteem play a key role in the process of Crohn’sdisease treatment.
