Parental attitudes in the family of origin and parental attitude towards own child

Praca poświęcona jest postawom rodzicielskim rodziców dzieci w wieku przedszkolnym oraz ich uwarunkowaniom. Składa się ona z części teoretycznej, metodologicznej i empirycznej. W części teoretycznej w rozdziale pierwszym wyjaśniono pojęcie rodziny oraz omówiono funkcje jakie pełni. Przedstawiono pojęcie struktury rodziny oraz wyszczególniono i scharakteryzowano poszczególne typy rodzin. Następnie omówiono przemiany rodziny współczesnej oraz jej modele. Drugi rozdział poświęcony jest problematyce postaw rodzicielskich: omówiono pojęcie postaw, proces ich kształtowania w aspekcie psychologicznym oraz dwie koncepcje postaw rodzicielskich - Marii Ziemskiej oraz Mieczysława Plopy. Przedstawiono także wyniki badań nad postawami rodzicielskimi w literaturze przedmiotu. W trzecim rozdziale przedstawiono koncepcję metodologiczną badań własnych, które zostały przeprowadzone na próbie 98 rodziców dzieci w wieku przedszkolnym z zastosowaniem metody sondażu diagnostycznego z techniką ankiety. Narzędziem badawczym była Skala Postaw Rodzicielskich oraz Kwestionariusz Retrospektywnej Oceny Postaw Rodzicielskich. Analizie poddano retrospektywną ocenę postaw rodzicielskich respondentów oraz ich postawy rodzicielskie wobec swoich dzieci. Wyniki badań pokazały, że istnieje związek pomiędzy postawami rodzicielskimi respondentów a postawami rodzicielskimi w ich rodzinie pochodzenia. Retrospektywna ocena postaw rodzicielskich wskazała, że kobiety korzystniej oceniają postawy wychowawcze ojców, natomiast mężczyźni postawy wychowawcze swoich matek. Na postawy rodzicielskie wpływają także: płeć, liczba posiadanych dzieci oraz poziom wykształcenia.

Thesis is devoted to parental attitudes of parents of preschool children and their conditioning.Thesis consists of theoretical, methodological and empirical chapter. The first chapter explains the notion of family and its functions. The family structure is also presented as well different types of family are enumerated and described. Then, I focused on family changes and its models. The second chapter speaks of family attitude and its forming in the psychological context. The second part of this chapter deals with issues of family attitude in theory based on two concepts by Maria Ziemska and Mieczysław Plopa. Various research on family attitude is presented in literature on the subject. Third chapter copes with concept of methodological own research that has been carried out on a sample of 98 parents of preschool-aged children using the method of diagnostic survey questionnaire technique. The research tool were: Skala Postaw Rodzicielskich and Kwestionariusz Retrospektywnej Oceny Postaw Rodzicielskich. The respondents own attitudes were displayed in the sociodemographic such as: education degree, amount of children. The corelation of respondents family attitude in their own families and their background family attitude was examined. The ending of this thesis includes research conclusion and clues for parents. The results showed that there is a link between parental attitudes of respondents and parental attitudes in their family of origin. A retrospective assessment of parental attitudes indicated that women better evaluate educational attitudes of fathers and men their mothers educational attitudes. On parental attitudes also affect gender, number of children and level of education.
