Cel pracy: Analiza wiedzy młodych matek dotycząca karmienia piersią po porodzie oraz określenie roli położnej w rozpoznaniu i rozwiązywaniu problemów występujących w tym okresie.Materiał i metoda: Badania metodą badań reprezentacyjnych z wykorzystaniem kwestionariusza ankiety, przeprowadzone w grupie 100 kobiet na terenie szpitali i wśród kobiet z najbliższego otoczenia.Wyniki: Większość badanych wykazała pozytywne nastawienie do karmienia naturalnego i już w ciąży była zdecydowana na podjęcie próby karmienia dziecka piersią. Decyzja o karmieniu w 65% była podjęta samodzielnie, a w 25% przypadkach wsparcie otrzymane było od strony personelu medycznego. Mimo prób karmienia piersią kobiety poza naturalną metodą karmienia dziecka w 56% stosowały metodę mieszaną (raz pierś/raz mleko sztuczne). Badane w 66% zgłaszały problemy przy karmieniu, problem dotyczył głównie: brodawek (48%), zapalenia piersi (25%), zastoju pokarmu (23%) i nawału pokarmu (22%). Kobiety karmiące swoje dzieci naturalnie uważały, że początki przy karmieniu piersią nie są łatwe, ale niosą korzyści zarówno dla matki i dziecka.Wnioski: 1. Im wyższy poziom wiedzy na temat karmienia piersią, tym częściej podejmowane są próby karmienia naturalnego przez młode matki. 2. Najczęstsze problemy okresu połogowego dotyczą karmienia piersią. 3. Położna jest jedyną osobą, która jest w stanie okazać duże wsparcie i rozpoznać problemy zdrowotne zarówno matki jak i dziecka.

The purpose of the work: The analysis of knowledge of young mothers about breast feeding after the labour and defining the role of the midwife in their on diagnosis and troubleshooting in this time. Material and method: a survey by sample surveys using the standarized questionnaire survey, carried out in the group of 100 women in hospital and among women from the closest surroundings.Results: Most subjects showed a positive attitude to breastfeeding and pregnant women were already determined to attempt breastfeeding. The decision to feed was taken alone in 65% cases and in 25% of cases, the support was received from the medical staff. Despite attempts to breastfeeding women beyond the natural way to feed baby at 56% followed the approach of a mixed (one breast / formula milk once). Tested at 66% of reported problems with feeding, the problem related mainly to: warts (48%), inflammation of the breast (25%), stagnation of food (23%) and the enormous amount of food (22%). Mothers believed that the beginnings of breastfeeding are not easy but have benefits for both the mother and the child.Conclusions: 1. The higher the level of knowledge about breastfeeding, the more attempts are being made by young breastfeeding mothers. 2. The most common problems in puerperium relate to breastfeeding. 3. The midwife is the only person who is able to give a lot of support and recognize health problems for both thebmother and the child.
