Głównym zagadnieniem niniejszej pracy jest próba oceny poziomu gotowości Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej do przystąpienia do strefy euro na tle jej sytuacji społeczno – gospodarczej w ostatnich latach.W tym celu kolejno: ukazałem genezę strefy euro, przedstawiłem Polskę jako pretendenta do przyjęcia wspólnej waluty, dokonałem konfrontacji kosztów i korzyści wprowadzenia euro, by na końcu skonstatować, że przyjęcie euro to proces wymagający wiele zaangażowania, czasu i cierpliwości.Chciałbym zaznaczyć, że praca ta nie ma na celu jakiejkolwiek agitacji za przyjęciem bądź nieprzyjęciem euro.
The main issue of this work was to present the level of preparedness the Republic of Polish to join to the euro area against a background of socio - economic situation in recent years.For this purpose, consecutively I show the genesis of the euro area, presented Poland as a pretender to the adoption of the single currency, made the confrontation between the costs and benefits of the euro, and at the end state that the euro is a process that requires a lot of commitment, time and patience.I want to mention that purpose of this work is not agitation for favor or rejection of the euro.
