Nowotwory złośliwe są jednymi z najczęściej występujących nowotworów na świecie [1]. Metody leczenia uzależnione są od stopnia zaawansowania procesu nowotworowego i od wieku chorego. Do radykalnych metod leczenia wczesnego stadium nowotworu należą: chirurgiczne usunięcie gruczołu krokowego i radioterapia. Zabieg usunięcia stercza (prostatektomia) można wykonać metodą otwartą lub laparoskopową. Malicious tumours are the most common types of neoplasms in the world [1].Methods of treatment depend on the grade of the cancer and age of a patient. Radical forms of treatment of the Stage I tumour are: radiotherapy and surgical removal of the prostate gland. The procedure of removing the gland (prostatectomy) can be done as an open surgery or by laparoscopy. Stage IV cancer can be treated by hormonotherapy, radiotherapy and chemotherapy [2].Modern nursing is based on theories and models of nursing, in which a patient is treated in a holistic manner and is engaged in the process of treatment, nursing and rehabilitation [3].The aim of this thesis is to create a model of nursing care for a patient who will undergo the laparoscopic prostatectomy and a patient who underwent one. Thesis is based on the analysis of the literature and self-experience
