American Dream based on biographies of Cornelius Vanderbilt, John Rockefeller and Walter Disney

W pracy przedstawiłam trzech przedstawicieli narodu amerykańskiego, którzy dzięki swojej zaradności i wyjątkowym okolicznościom zapisali się w historii. Pierwszym z nich jest Cornelius Vanderbilt, twórca imperium kolejowego, następnie John Rockefeller, król nafty oraz Walter Disney, najwybitniejszy twórca w przemyśle rozrywkowym. Wymienione przeze mnie postacie swoją pracą udowodniły, że osiągnięcie sukcesu od pucybuta do milionera jest możliwe. Są to bohaterowie, których działania widoczne są również obecnie poprzez dziedzictwo jakie po sobie zostawili. W pierwszym rozdziale przedstawiłam cechy charakterystyczne dla społeczeństwa amerykańskiego oraz momenty w historii Ameryki, które ukształtowały ich styl życia. W ostatnim rozdziale pokazałam jakie cechy uważane za typowo amerykańskie pomogły Vanderbiltowi, Rockefellerowi oraz Disneyowi w stworzeniu swoich imperiów.

I my thesis I would like to present three prominent Americans who became successful. It was possible because of their resourcefulness and favorable economic circumstances. I described biographies of Cornelius Vanderbilt, the first man who invested in railroads, John Rockefeller who was called the king of oil and Walter Disney the most awarded entrepreneur in film industry. They went from rags to riches. Nowadays they are still respected due to the heritage which they created. In the first chapter I mentioned distinguishing features of American society and the most important events in American history which had an influence on American lifestyle. In the last chapter and I submitted the American features which helped Vanderbilt, Rockefeller and Disney made their American Dream come true.
