Tematem pracy jest żywienie noworodków przedwcześnie urodzonych.Wcześniaki z powodu niedojrzałości układów i narządów są szczególnie narażone na występowanie różnego rodzaju powikłań. Niedojrzałość układu pokarmowego przyczynia się do występowania zaburzeń metabolicznych w tym najczęściej hipoglikemii i wczesnej hipokalcemii jak również rozwoju takich powikłań jak refluks żołądkowo przełykowy oraz nekrotyczne zapalenie jelit. Celem publikacji jest zwrócenie uwagi na aktualny stan wiedzy oraz obowiązujące zalecenia w zakresie odżywiania prowadzonego wśród noworodków przedwcześnie urodzonych. Do napisania pracy wykorzystano najnowszą literaturę oraz artykuły naukowe.Odpowiednie odżywianie noworodków przedwcześnie urodzonych stanowi kluczowy element w sprawowanej nad nimi intensywnej opiece. Najbardziej optymalnym pokarmem zaspokajającym ich szczególne potrzeby żywieniowe jest mleko matki.Wybierając sposób żywienia należy uwzględnić stopień niedojrzałości wcześniaków, ich stan ogólny oraz współtowarzyszące często schorzenia. Aby prowadzone żywienie przynosiło pozytywne rezultaty, niezbędne staje się regularne kontrolowanie jego tolerancji. Istotny aspekt w żywieniu wcześniaków stanowi jak najwcześniejsze rozpoczęcie u nich stymulacji odruchu ssania, co w późniejszym etapie umożliwi im pobieranie pokarmu z piersi matki. W celu zapobieżenia występowaniu chorób będących wynikiem niedoborów pokarmowych, konieczne jest wśród noworodków niedonoszonych uzupełnianie minerałów zgodnie z aktualnie obowiązującymi zaleceniami.

The topic of the thesis is to feed premature newborns.Premature infants due to immaturity of organs and systems are particularly prone to all sorts of complications. The immaturity of the digestive system contributes to the prevalence of metabolic disorders including, most often hypoglycemia and early hypocalcemia as well as to development of complications such as gastroesophageal reflux and necrotizing enterocolitis. The aim of the thesis is to highlight the current state of knowledge and current recommendations for nutrition conducted among infants born prematurely. To write a thesis was used the newest literature and scientific articles. Adequate nutrition of preterm newborns is a key element in the exercise intensive care over them. The most optimal food, which satisfies their specific nutritional needs, is mother's milk. Choosing the method of nutrition should consider the level of immaturity of preterm infants, their general condition and often concomitant diseases. To carry out nutrition brought positive results, it becomes necessary to regularly monitor its tolerance. An important aspect in nutrition premature newborns is to commencement with them sucking reflex stimulation as soon as possible, what at a later stage will allow them food intake of the mother's breast. In order to prevent the occurrence of diseases resulting from nutritional deficiencies, it is necessary among premature newborns supplementation of minerals in accordance with current recommendations.
