Everyday life of Bohemian artists in Cracow between XIX and XX century.

Celem niniejszej pracy licencjackiej jest prezentacja zagadnienia życia codziennego krakowskiej bohemy artystycznej na przełomie XIX i XX wieku. Główną metodą badawczą wykorzystaną w pracy była metoda dedukcji. Jednym z najważniejszych źródeł historycznych są eseje Tadeusza Boya-Żeleńskiego oraz pamiętniki twórców z epoki. Praca uwzględnia wiele zagadnień z życia codziennego – prezentuje stosunki panujące w obrębie cyganerii Młodej Polski, współtworzenie przez nią instytucji kultury, życia zbiorowego oraz przedstawia jej genezę i ideologię.

The research focus of this academic thesis is to present the issue of everyday life of Bohemian artists in Cracow between XIX and XX century. The main research method used in the thesis is deductive reasoning. One of the main historical sources are the essays of Tadeusz Boy-Żeleński as well as the memoirs of artists of the said period. The thesis includes numerous issues of everyday life – presents the relations between the members of the Bohemian group and their influence on culture and community, and introduces the origins and ideology of the Bohemians.
