„Żołtarz Dawidów” by Walenty Wróbel (Psalms 1–40) – a critical edition.

W pracy podjęto próbę przygotowania edycji krytycznej pierwszej księgi tłumaczenia psałterza dokonanego na początku XVI wieku przez Walentego Wróbla, a w 1539 wydanego po redakcji Andrzeja Glabera z Kobylina w oficynie Heleny Unglerowej. Opracowanie tekstu psalmów wraz z komentarzem tłumacza poprzedzono wstępem, w którym porównano tekst jedynego zachowanego rękopiśmiennego odpisu pierwotnego tłumaczenia Wróbla ze zredagowanym przez Glabera tekstem pierwszego wydania drukowanego, podejmując próbę rozstrzygnięcia, który z uczonych jest rzeczywiście autorem znanego dziś tekstu „Żołtarza”.

This dissertation is an attempt at preparing a critical edition of the first book of Walenty Wróbel's translation of the Book of Psalms („Żołtarz Dawidów”), which had been completed at the beginning of the 16 century, and which has been prepared for print in Helena Unglerowa's publishing house in 1539 by Andrzej Glaber from Kobylin. Text of psalms and the translator's commentary has been preceded by an introduction where the only known manuscript of the original Wróbel's translation has been compared to text of the first printed edition prepared by Glaber. The introduction discusses the dilemma: which of the two should be considered the author of the text we know today.
