Głównym celem niniejszej pracy było przedstawienie Polski i Polaków w świetle propagandy niemieckiej na podstawie artykułów jednej z najważniejszych gazet w Generalnym Gubernatorstwie „Krakauer Zeitung”. Omawiany w pracy okres, a więc od początku działalności gazety pod koniec 1939 r. aż do niemieckiej ofensywy na ZSRR 22 czerwca 1941 r., ma zobrazować kwestie polskie widziane oczami niemieckiego okupanta. Praca podzielona jest na 6 rozdziałów, przy czym pierwszy rozdział stanowi jedynie ogólną charakterystykę omawianego źródła. Poruszone w tej pracy kwestie to polityka II Rzeczpospolitej, kwestie historyczne, mniejszości narodowe, w tym przede wszystkim mniejszość niemiecka w II Rzeczpospolitej, przebieg kampanii wrześniowej jak i inne tematy, chociażby wyroki sądowe bądź sprawy gospodarcze. Wynik badań kreśli obraz żądnego niemieckiej krwi narodu polskiego, którego elity sprowokowały wojnę i którego historia była dziełem niemieckich rąk, w którym sami Polacy odgrywali jedynie marginalną tudzież negatywną rolę.

The main objective of this thesis is to present the image of Polish and Poles in the german propaganda based on the articles in one of the most important newspapers in the General Government „Krakauer Zeitung”. The presented period, from the beginning of the newspaper in late 1939 to the german invasion of the Soviet Union on 22 June 1941, illustrates polish issues seen through the german perspective. This thesis is devided into 6 chapters, though the first one is a general description of the main source. The thesis deals mainly with the issues of the politics in the Second Polish Republic, historical questions, minority groups, especially the german minority in prewar Poland, the invasion of Poland in 1939 and other matters like court judgements or economic issues. The result of the thesis depicts an image of a german blood lusted polish nation with a political elite, which provoked war and whose history was the independent work of Germans, in which Poles played a marginal or negative role.
