Krakow hippies in the Polish and global movement "peopleflowers"

Praca prezentuje ruch hipisów, którego narodziny i rozwój przypadły na przełom lat 60. i 70. XX wieku. Subkultura „peopleflowers” wywodziła się ze Stanów Zjednoczonych, które po II wojnie światowej potwierdziły wysoką pozycję na arenie międzynarodowej pod względem gospodarczym, ekonomicznym i technologicznym. W opracowaniu został ukazany czas powstania subkultury, który zbiegł się z ważnymi wydarzeniami w Ameryce i na świecie. Były to między innymi: interwencja zbrojna USA i wojna w Wietnamie, kontrkultura i rewolucja obyczajowa, strajki, demonstracje studentów (głównie rok 1968). Ideały ruchu „dzieci kwiatów” już w 1967 roku dotarły do krajów Europy Zachodniej, również przedostały się za „żelazną kurtynę” do państw, których politykę kreował Związek Radziecki. Przewodnim problemem prezentowanym w opracowaniu jest ukazanie intrygującej subkultury w Polskiej Rzeczpospolitej Ludowej, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem miasta Krakowa. Dzieje ruchu młodych buntowników w Polsce, choć toczyły się w tym samym czasie co na świecie, to u nas przybrały nieco odmienny charakter, co było wynikiem innego rozwoju historycznego naszego kraju. W pracy zostały przedstawione ideały polskich hipisów, również tych z Krakowa, ich miejsca spotkań, zloty, wydarzenia, problemy wynikające z polityki prowadzonej przez polskie władze. Omówione również zostały główne osoby związane z subkulturą w Polsce i Krakowie.
