Transpersonal Psychoterapy

Celem pracy było przedstawienie zarysu psychoterapii transpersonalnej. W opinii autora ilość i jakość informacji, które można znaleźć na ten temat w naukowej literaturze polskojęzycznej, jest niewystarczająca w stosunku do globalnego zasięgu tego podejścia oraz faktu działania na terenie polski niezależnych psychoterapeutów prowadzących swoją praktykę w podejściu transpersonalnym.W tym celu zaprezentowane zostały podstawowe zagadnienia związane z podejściem transpersonalnych jako kontekstem, w którym operuje psychoterapia transpersonalna. Przedstawiona została historyczno-systematyczna charakterystyka psychologii transpersonalnej, postulaty leżące u podstaw jej powołania, rozwój oraz obszar badanych przez nią zagadnień. Autor przybliżył również wybrane szkoły psychoterapii transpersonalnej, przedstawiając ich podstawowe założenia, tezy tłumaczące powstawanie zaburzeń psychicznych, strategie i cele terapii oraz wybór najczęściej wykorzystywanych technik.

The author of this paper intended to draw an outline of transpersonal psychology. The scope and quality of Polish scientific publications on this subject definitely doesn’t match neither the global range of this approach, nor the fact, that there are indeed independent active transpersonal therapists in Poland.Basic issues concerning transpersonal approach were presented as context for transpersonal psychotherapy. This paper also includes both historical and systematical characteristics of transpersonal psychology, main reasons for its invention, its development and scope of its domains of interest. The author also described four approaches to transpersonal therapy including their theoretical background, views on the nature and sources of psychic disorders, goals and strategies of therapy and a review of applied techniques.
