Reasons for the success of the Normans in southern Italy and Sicily in the XI - XII century

Praca opowiada o Normanach włoskich, którzy na przestrzeni około dwustu lat opanowali niemal całe południe Półwyspu Apenińskiego oraz Sycylię, a w 1130 roku utworzyli Królestwo Sycylii ze zdobytych terenów.Rozważania opierają się w dużej mierze na opisywaniu poszczególnych etapów dochodzenia do władzy "ludzi z północy na południu Italii, ich determinację w dążeniu do celu oraz przebiegłość jaką się kierowali. Praca ma na celu ukazanie przyczyn sukcesu normańskich wojowników w południowych Włoszech i na Sycylii.

Thesis tells the story of Italian Normans, who over nearly two hundred years conquered the whole part of southern Italy and Sicily as well, and in 1130 estabilished Kingdom of Sicily. Considerations are based largely on describing the various stages of taking power by "people from the north" in southern Italy, their determination to aim and cunning. Thesis should to show the reasons for the success norman warriors in southern Italy and Sicily.
