Germanic elements in vocabulary of the Third Reich and in the right-wing extremism

Kultura germańska przezywała swój renesans na przełomie XIX i XX wieku. Jej elementy można odnaleźć w pseudonaukowych publikacjach autorów takich jak na przykład Guido von List, a także w naukach propagowanych przez różne powstałe w tym czasie ugrupowania, często o charakterze ezoterycznym i okultystycznym. Działania te stały się potem podstawą dla ideologii nazistowskiej, która połączyła elementy germańskie ze swoją teorią o wyższości rasowej. Po zakończeniu II wojny światowej znajdujemy wiele nawiązań do kultury i mitologii germańskiej w aktualnym prawicowym ekstremizmie. Wszystkie te ujęcia kultury germanów są tematem poniższej pracy.

The Teutons “Germanentum” experienced a renaissance in the era of German National Socialism. The culture of the Germanic tribes, their customs, their ideas and their mythology became an important part of the National socialist ideology. In the first chapter of this Thesis, we will focus on the ideas of the Germanic culture, which later on would greatly influence the National socialist ideology. Furthermore we will analyze the references to the Germanic language in the area of National Socialism. Finally we will investigate the influence of Germanic culture in today’s right-wing extremism.
