PAINTING "SISTINE MADONNA" IN THE RUSSIAN ROMANTIC LITERATURE

The first chapter contains a short characteristics of Renaissance, including key ideas of humanism and description of changes that have taken place in architecture and painting. In thefurther part of the first chapter an artistic biography of Raphael Santi has been sketched, with special emphasis on the Madonna's. Painting "Sistine Madonna" has been described in the final part of the first chapter.The second chapter provides with examples of appeals to the image of Raphael in the works of Russian romantics, both in prose (letters, memoirs) and poetry.The last part of the work goes beyond the time frame of Romanticism and refers to the presence of the "Sistine Madonna" theme in the works of Goncharov, and Dostoevsky.

W pierwszej częśći pracy przedstawiona została charakterystyka epoki Renesansu z uwzględnieniem głównych założeń humanizmu oraz zmianami, jakie zaszły w architekturze i malarstwie. W dalszej części ukazana została artystyczna biografia Rafaela Santi, ze szczególnym akcentem na jego Madonny. W końcowym fragmencie pierwszego rozdziału opisany został jego obraz Madonna Sykstyńska.W drugim rozdziale znajdują się przykłady odwołań do obrazu Rafaela Santi w twórczości rosyjskich romantyków, zarówno w prozie (listy, wspomnienia), jak i poezji.Ostatnia część pracy wychodzi poza ramy czasowe romantyzmu i dotyczy obecności motywu obrazu Rafaela w twórczości Gonczarowa i Dostojewskiego.
