Knowledge of patients about risk factors for coronary heart disease and their health

Among all of the deseases, circulatory system deaseases are the one with the highest death rate. It is estimated that about 30000 people dies every year on a heart failure. Regarding that fact one should know the risk factors of ischemic heart disease to be able to take prophylaxis. The purpose of this thesis is to estimate the knowledge about inchemic deaseases risk factors and to determine the relanshionship between this knowledge and the patients real health condition. Reasearch for this thesis was taken in August 2011 in Jastrzębie-Zdrój. Questionnaires were filled out by 100 respondents. The results gives are the basis to conclude that there is a big relations between the knowing of ischemic heart diseases risk factors and the patients health condition.

Zespołem chorób, które cechują się na świecie największą śmiertelnością są choroby układu krążenia. Szacuje się, że corocznie na zawał serca umiera 30000 osób [1]. W związku z powagą sytuacji należy znać czynniki ryzyka choroby niedokrwiennej serca by umieć prowadzić profilaktykę. Celem tej pracy było oszacowanie wiedzy na temat czynników ryzyka choroby niedokrwiennej serca oraz określenie jaki jest stosunek tej wiedzy do faktycznego stanu zdrowia pacjentów.Badania do pracy przeprowadzono w miesiącu sierpniu 2011 r. na terenie miasta Jastrzębie-Zdrój. Ankietę wypełniło 100 respondentów. Wyniki dają podstawę sądzić że istnieje duża zależność pomiędzy znajomością czynników ryzyka choroby a stanem zdrowia pacjentów.
