Personal expressivisms in the dictionary of Orawa's dialect by Jozef Kas

The main purpose of this thesis was to collect and describe expressivisms functioning in the dialect of Orawa that refer to people. Expressivisms are words that express the emotions of the speaker in relation to the person he is describing.They contain a description of character together with our judgement. Material used in this thesis comes from a Dictionary of Orawa's Dialect by Jozef Kas. The collected words are mainly nouns however, there are also expressivisms that consists of two words.This thesis is made of eight chapters. The first chapter describes Orawa, the language of the local people and the dictionary of the dialect. The next two chapters contain the study of the vocabulary of expressivism and valuation, which relate to the world-view of country people. The fourth chapter describes the classification which is the base of the analysis, which is described in the fifth chapter. The last includes the annexe containing the list of personal expessivisms together with their definition.

Celem pracy było zebranie i opisanie ekspresywizmów funkcjonujących w gwarze orawskiej, a konkretnie odnoszących się do człowieka. Ekspresywizmy są wyrazami nacechowanymi emocjonalnie i wyrażają stosunek nadawcy do opisywanej osoby. Zawierają charakterystykę obiektu nazywanego oraz jego ocenę.Materiał wykorzystany w pracy pochodzi ze Słownika gwary orawskiej autorstwa Józefa Kąsia. Zebrane wyrazy to głównie rzeczowniki, ale pojawia się też kilka ekspresywizmów wielowyrazowych.Praca składa się z ośmiu rozdziałów. Rozdział I to opis Orawy, języka mieszkańców oraz Słownika gwary orawskiej. Kolejne dwa rozdziały zawierają stan badań nad słownictwem ekspresywnym oraz wartościowaniem, które ścisłe związane jest ze światopoglądem ludności wiejskiej. W IV rozdziale została przedstawiona klasyfikacja stanowiąca podstawę analizy, która została zamieszczona w rozdziale V. Ostatni rozdział to aneks zawierający spis ekspresywizmów osobowych wraz z ich definicjami.
