Local system to prevent domestic violence on the example of the operation MGOPS in Myślenice and its cooperation with other institutions.

In present world, we live in the era of overwhelming media hype, we can hear almost every day reports of violence. We wonder why violence occurs, what is holding the victim by the perpetrator, where they are neighbors, family and the loved ones. Often the question arises: How to reduce this phenomenon? The solutions should be found in a well-organized cooperation of many organizations and institutions. Only their consolidation may lead to an efficient system for prevention. An important link in this work should become the educational activities of citizens. Only the public aware of their problems and threats, can effectively work on their elimination.To help the victim, it must first be made aware of her, that her lack of response to violence is in the assessment of the offender a sign of her weakness and acquiescence to further violence, which in the long run will lead to an escalation of the problem. The victim, to be able to resist the perpetrator must be aware that she is not alone with the problem and can count on others help. It is therefore important to inform about the places where you can get professional help. This knowledge must be universal and very close to the victim. Currently, a person in need can benefit from many institutions providing assistance, whose job is to assist victims in regaining security and self-esteem. It can get psychological help, legal, or count on support from aid institutions.In this thesis attempts to illustrate the phenomenon and show the cooperation of the local environment in order to solve the problem of violence. The aim was to learn the tasks of Municipal Social Welfare Centre in the area of assistance and prevention of domestic violence, as well as cooperation with other institutions such issues. The main intention was to illustrate the functioning of the local system to prevent domestic violence and the role that Municipal Social Assistance Centre played in.

We współczesnym świecie, w dobie wszechogarniającego nas szumu medialnego, doniesienia o aktach przemocy docierają do nas niemal codziennie. Zastanawiamy się, dlaczego dochodzi do przemocy , co trzyma ofiarę przy sprawcy, gdzie są sąsiedzi, rodzina, osoby bliskie. Niejednokrotnie nasuwa się pytanie: Jak ograniczyć to zjawisko?. Sposobu rozwiązania tego problemu należy szukać w dobrze zorganizowanej współpracy wielu organizacji i instytucji. Tylko ich konsolidacja może doprowadzić do powstania sprawnego systemu przeciwdziałania. Ważnym ogniwem tej pracy powinna stać się działalność edukacyjna obywateli. Tylko społeczeństwo świadome swych problemów i zagrożeń, może w sposób skuteczny pracować nad ich wyeliminowaniem.Aby pomóc ofierze, należy przede wszystkim uświadomić jej, iż jej brak reakcji na przemoc, stanowi w ocenie sprawcy, oznakę jej słabości i przyzwolenia na dalszą przemoc, co w dalszej perspektywie doprowadzi do eskalacji problemu. Ofiara, by mogła przeciwstawić się sprawcy, musi mieć świadomość, iż nie jest sama i ma się do kogo zwrócić o pomoc. Dlatego tak ważne jest informowanie o miejscach, gdzie można uzyskać profesjonalną pomoc. Ta wiedza musi być powszechna, „w zasięgu ręki”. W obecnej chwili, osoba potrzebująca może skorzystać z oferty wielu placówek świadczących pomoc, których zadaniem jest wsparcie ofiaryw odzyskaniu bezpieczeństwa i poczucia własnej wartości. Może uzyskać pomoc psychologiczną, prawną , czy liczyć na wsparcie ze strony instytucji pomocowych. W niniejszej pracy podjęto próbę zobrazowania zjawiska i ukazania współpracy środowiska lokalnego w celu rozwiązywania problemu przemocy. Celem stało się poznanie zadań Miejsko-Gminnego Ośrodka Pomocy Społecznej w obszarze pomocy i przeciwdziałaniu zjawiska przemocy domowej, a także współpracy z innymi instytucjami w zakresie tej problematyki. Główną intencja było zobrazowanie funkcjonowania lokalnego systemu przeciwdziałania przemocy w rodzinie i roli jaką w nim pełni Miejsko- Gminny Ośrodek Pomocy Społecznej.
