"One country, two systems". Hong kong and Macau reunifaction with China and Taiwan issue

The thesis is about a problem of the returning Hong Kong and Macao to China, and the influence which it had caused – an attempt to reunite the Republic of China (Taiwan) and People's Republic of China, according to the policy of the "one country - two systems".The whole text is divided into four chapters. The first one is an introduction to the topic. What really is Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan? Where are they located, and why does the China is concerned about them?The second chapter describes the issues of "breaking" China – I mean the invasion of the foreign powers, the land concessions of the foreign empires in the 19th century, and the functioning of the breakaway territories outside the China. The chapter is showing the transformation which took place in China in 19th and 20th century, and also the situation of Taiwan at that time - the territory which was gradually shifted from hand to hand and eventually returned to China.The third chapter - the most comprehensive one – illustrates the importance and the course of one of the most important moments in the history of China – Deng Xiaoping's reform of the "open policy", and also the creation of the Special Economic Zones, which were made in the People's Republic of China to prepare the country to the adoption of the capitalistic economy of the former colonies. I have also presented the problem of the returning Hong Kong and Macao to China – how did the concepts of the unification look like, the description of the various stages of the negotiations and its main points at issue. I have also presented how, at that time, does the situation in Taiwan looked like - the establishment of the Republic of China, the situation on the arena of the international politics after the process of its democratization, and the attempts to reunite it with the People's Republic of China.The final chapter is a description of the functioning of the Special Administrative Regions - their legal status and their importance to present China. That chapter also presents the course of efforts to reunificate the Republic of China with People's Republic of China. It also presents some possible problem solution scenarios and the perspective of their realization.

Praca traktuje o problemie powrotu Hongkongu i Makau do Chin, a także wpływu tego wydarzenia na podejmowane próby zjednoczenia Republiki Chińskiej (na Tajwanie) oraz Chińskiej Republiki Ludowej, w myśl koncepcji "jedno państwo - dwa systemy".Całość pracy podzielona została na cztery rozdziały. W pierwszym zaprezentowane zostały informacje wprowadzające do tematu. Czym tak naprawdę jest Hongkong, Makau, Tajwan? Gdzie się znajdują, jaką zajmują powierzchnię, jak znalazły się w orbicie zainteresowań Chin? W drugim rozdziale poruszone są zagadnienia „rozrywania” Chin – to jest zdobywania przez obce mocarstwa koncesji oraz terenów w Państwie Środka, a także funkcjonowanie oderwanych terenów poza Chinami. Ukazano również przemiany jakie miały miejsce w samych Chinach na przełomie XIX i XXw., a także dzieje Tajwanu - stopniowe przechodzenie z rąk do rąk i w końcu powrót do Chin.W trzecim rozdziale – najobszerniejszym – ukazano znaczenie i przebieg jednego z najważniejszych momentów w dziejach Chin – reform związanych z "polityką otwarcia" Deng Xiaopinga, a także proces tworzenia Specjalnych Stref Ekonomicznych, które miały w zamyśle przygotować Chińską Republikę Ludową do przyjęcia kapitalistycznych gospodarek byłych kolonii. Przedstawiono tutaj również powrót Hongkongu i Makau do Chin – koncepcje zjednoczenia, poszczególne etapy negocjacji, punkty sporne. Zaprezentowano także jak w tym czasie kształtowała się sytuacja na Tajwanie - od utworzenia Republiki Chińskiej, zmiany na arenie międzynarodowej po procesy demokratyzacji oraz próby ponownego zjednoczenia z Chińską Republiką Ludową. Ostatni rozdział – to opis funkcjonowania Specjalnych Regionów Administracyjnych – ich status prawny oraz znaczenie dla współczesnych Chin. W tym rozdziale przedstawiono również przebieg starań o ponowne zjednoczenie Republiki Chińskiej z Chińską Republiką Ludową. Jednocześnie zaprezentowano dominujące w literaturze scenariusze ewentualnego zjednoczenia oraz perspektywy ich realizacji.
