Characteristic of folk songs from the region Warmia and Mazury based on the set of Marian Sobieski and Maria Sobolewska "Pieśni ludowe Warmii i Mazur"

The object of this thesis is characteristic of folk songs from the region Warmia and Mazury based on the set of Marian Sobieski and Maria Sobolewska” Pieśni ludowe Warmii i Mazur”. This work consists of an introduction (including purpose and scope, methodology and state of research) and two chapters. The first chapter is describing the general characteristics of music of Warmia and Mazury (history of region, description of the traditional folk dances, folk songs, instrumental music and instruments), while in the second chapter containig the analysis of music based on the following analytical categories: the structure of text verbal, architectonics of melody, ambitus of melody, scales and rhythmical structure. Conclusion contain the most characteristic features of songs of the Warmia and Mazury. Work also includes bibliography and appendix, which show detailed results of the analysis.

Tematem niniejszej pracy jest charakterystyka pieśni ludowych z region Warmii i Mazur na podstawie zbioru Mariana Sobieskiego i Marii Sobolewskiej pt. „Pieśni ludowe Warmii i Mazur”. Praca ta składa się ze wstępu, w którym zamieszczony jest cel i zakres pracy, stan badań , metodyka oraz dwóch rozdziałów. Rozdział pierwszy opisuje kulturę muzyczną Warmii i Mazur, a dokładnie historię regionu, taniec, pieśń ludową, muzykę instrumentalną i instrumenty. Rozdział drugi zawiera analizę pieśni, oparta na następujących kategoriach analitycznych: budowa tekstu słownego, architektonika melodii, ambitus, skala, budowa rytmiczna. W podsumowaniu, porównano wyniki analiz pieśni z informacjami zawartymi w literaturze. Na końcu znajduje się bibliografia i aneks, zawierający tabelki.
