abstract in Polish:	Niniejsza praca stanowi przegląd różnych rodzajów śmierci na poziomie komórkowym. Przedstawia różne mechanizmy i szlaki prowadzące do śmierci: autofagię, apoptozę, nekroptozę. Opisano czynniki je wywołujące, regulujące oraz molekularne podłoże tych procesów. Omówiono ich rolę w fizjologii i w stanach patologicznych. Przedstawiono także przypadkową śmierć nekrotyczną oraz, skrótowo, inne modele śmierci komórkowej.
abstract in English:	This thesis provides an overview of different types of death at the cellular level. It presents various mechanisms and pathways leading to cell death: autophagy, apoptosis, necroptosis. It describes the factors that cause them, regulating and the molecular mechanisms of these processes. There are also discussed their role in physiology and pathological conditions. It also provides information on accidental death of necrotic and, briefly, other models of cell death.
