This paper deals with parental attitudes in the perception of the child. The theoretical part concern to the issue of family as the educational environment, in particular functions and tasks of family, interpersonal relationships in the family, development of preschool children and influence parental attitudes over children’s behavior. The main research issue was the question: To what extent parental attitudes, declared by them, influence children’s perception of their family? The study included twenty six-year old children and their mothers. In this study we used the method of diagnostic survey and the questionnaire technique and also projection techniques were used: a picture technique by J. Kagana and J. Lemkin and a test of family relations by E. Bene and J. Anthony. Analysis of projective test results provided interesting material, especially about feelings offered by children’s to environment and received by them from the environment. In turned out that children have more affection for their mothers than fathers and mothers also provide children with more feelings than fathers. It is surprising that parents are giving children more negative feelings than they receive from them. The study also showed that there is a correlation between the mothers’ attitudes and their perceptions by their own children. Mothers who show correct and moderate attitudes are much better seen by their children than when they show wrong, abnormal behavior.

Praca dotyczy problemu postaw rodzicielskich w percepcji dziecka. W części teoretycznej rozważania dotyczą problematyki rodziny jako środowiska wychowawczego, w szczególności funkcji, zadań rodziny, stosunków międzyosobowych w rodzinie, rozwoju dziecka w wieku przedszkolnym oraz wpływu postaw rodzicielskich na zachowania dzieci. Głównym problemem badawczym było pytanie: W jakim stopniu deklarowane przez rodziców postawy rodzicielskie wpływają na postrzeganie przez dzieci swojej rodziny? Badaniem objęto dwadzieścia dzieci sześcioletnich i ich matki. W przeprowadzonych badaniach wykorzystano metodę sondażu diagnostycznego oraz technikę ankiety a ponadto posłużono się technikami projekcyjnymi: techniką obrazkową J. Kagana i J. Lemkin oraz testem stosunków rodzinnych w opracowaniu E. Bene i J. Anthony’ego. Analiza wyników testów projekcyjnych dostarczyła interesującego materiału, szczególnie na temat uczuć dawanych przez dzieci otoczeniu i otrzymywanych przez nie od otoczenia. Okazało się, że dzieci większym uczuciem darzą matki niż ojców i to również matki dostarczają dzieciom więcej uczuć niż ojcowie. Zaskakujące jest to, że rodzice „dają” dzieciom więcej uczuć negatywnych niż sami od nich otrzymują. Badania również dowiodły, że istnieje zależność między znakiem przejawianych przez matki postaw a postrzeganiem ich przez własne dzieci. Matki przejawiające postawy właściwe i umiarkowanie właściwe są zdecydowanie lepiej postrzegane przez swoje dzieci niż w przypadku przejawiania przez matki postaw nieprawidłowych.
