Artykuł stanowi analizę zjawiska małżeństwa dzieci z punktu widzenia praw człowieka. Omówiona jest skala występowania problemu, jego przyczyny i konsekwencje. Przedstawiona jest także możliwość przeciwdziałania małżeństwom dzieci przez przywołanie pilotażowych programów, które okazały się w tej materii skuteczne. Następnie analizuje, jakie prawa należące do katalogu praw człowieka są naruszane przez zawieranie małżeństw w zbyt młodym wieku. Analizuje także regulacje międzynarodowe dotyczące zawierania małżeństwa oraz dokonuje zestawienia regulacji krajowych określających minimalny wiek wymagany do zawarcia małżeństwa.

The paper is an analysis of the phenomenon of child marriage from the human rights perspective. It discusses the scale of the problem, its causes and consequences. It also presents the possibilities of counteracting marriages of children, recalling pilot programs that have proved effective in this matter. Then it analyzes what rights from the human rights catalog are violated by entering into marriage at a too young age. It also analyzes international regulations on entering into marriage and makes a juxtaposition of national regulations defining the minimum age required for marriage.
