The sport autonomy is one of the most crucial and vexed issues in sport law. Not only does it delimitate the influence of public order rules but also shows the sport system as a sui generis system which combines the regulations of private and public law. Additionally, it envisages the international context of sport law as third element of the whole structure. What is even more symptomatic in presented issues is the fact that the proper understanding of the subject often determines the final outcome of arising litigations. In this context it has to be remembered that the practical aspect of sport autonomy in meriti requires answering the following question: Are the public bodies entitled to control sport organizations? Polish system brings many examples of aforementioned issues (see ŁKS Łódź case) which have their 'sport final' not only in civil or administrative courts but also in the Constitutional Tribunal. The article is divided as follows. After briefly revising the structure of the sport system, the article traces to the concept of sport autonomy. It then focuses on the limits of sport autonomy (international, national and systemic) and practical dimension of the problem of sport autonomy. In the conclusion the author presents a few assumptions on the raised subject, bringing the case of Fabronis' family as the answer to previously asked questions.pl
